It's not where you come from ........

It's not where you come from ........

It's not where you came from, it's where you're going and how you get there that counts....
Join us in congratulating our employee Dustin Blevins upon his graduation of phase 1 and 2 of the Dept of Community Supervision's Day Reporting Program.
Thanks to The Jail Dogs amazing program, this young man, who had made some poor choices in his younger days, was able to turn his life around completely.
The Jail Dogs program gave him an opportunity to learn new skills, take on a high level of responsibility, and earn a high level of trust proving care and boundaries to cast aside dogs from the County shelter.
Dustin is proof positive that this is the way forward.
The program is incredible, it changes lives, it helps communities and we certainly hope that the decision by the Sheriff of Gwinnett County to end the program does not spell the end of this life changing initiative. For that would be a tragedy for communities everywhere.
See Dustin here, with his mama Rhonda, as they proudly display his graduation certificate.
We know that Rhonda is over the moon with her son's progress, and rightly so.
Here at Frankie and Andy's Place, we met Dustin at the Jail while he was still an inmate and were so bowled over by this young man's temperament and track record with other inmates as well as the dogs in the program, that we asked him to join our team.
We saw such promise that we knew we could benefit from having him on staff.
We have never once been disappointed in him.
His work ethic is outstanding, his handling of the dogs is second to none, his honesty and integrity is without question.
This young man is going places thanks to the Jail Dogs Program and we are eternally grateful to them for bringing this young man to our attention.
Dustin, we are proud to have you working with us and, more importantly, the dogs are delighted.
We look forward to a bright future with you, and know that you have far to go.
